Is it just me, or does the cost of pretty much everything seem to be on the rise?

For instance, you used to be able to find deals at the grocery store. But not anymore. Now prices border on absurdity. Even Trader Joe’s is in on the act after increasing banana prices for the first time in 20 years.

Of course, the soaring cost of living is the result of decisions made by our leaders. They keep borrowing, spending, and flooding the system with money.

Now the cost of living is wildly out of control. According to CBS News, the typical American household must spend an additional $11,434 annually just to maintain the same standard of living as in January 2021.

But the government continues to insist inflation is low. As of its February 2024 report, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said prices have risen 3.2% in the past 12 months. I’m skeptical on that and I bet many other Americans are too.

Virtually everything we buy has skyrocketed in price during the Biden administration. The price of gasoline is much higher than it was during the last presidential election. The stocks of oil and gas firms have surged too:

Housing costs have increased considerably too. An extreme data point is a 54-square-foot apartment in New York City with no bathroom, kitchen, or running water now costs $1,200 per month.

No matter how you slice it, Americans are unhappy about the current state of affairs. Keep in mind, inflation is always the enemy of the incumbent.
